My brother, Kasey, shared this incredible quote with me a few days ago. It has stuck.
I would never choose a year like 2020. And, let’s just admit, if the first seven days of 2021 are the “trial offer,” I already want a full refund.
Unfortunately, that’s not part of offer or deal. But GRACE is… GRACE that is always sufficient and more than enough for this and every moment (2 Cor 12:9).
That’s why people of faith can keep moving forward with “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,” grace and beauty even in a world so broken and messed up (Gal 5:22-23).
Our hope has not and never will be in a political leader, party or philosophy. Our hope has and always will be JESUS!
“It’s ALL ABOUT JESUS, always about JESUS, only about JESUS!” (Acts 4:12)
This is why we can continue to “PRESS ON to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold” [of every one of us]. (Phil 3:12)
I know this world feels broken and maybe even hopeless. But because of JESUS, there is still HOPE.
Because of JESUS, GRACE is still a reality!
Because of JESUS, PEACE is still a possibility!
Because of JESUS, HEALING + RESTORATION are available.
Yes, Jesus can bring to fulfillment the words of the prophet who indicated God’s heart to “restore to you the years” and “give you back what you lost” (Joel 2:25)!
That’s why I love this quote from Robert Frost.

Today, I will move forward. Even if it’s just one step. I will take it… And as I continue to put one foot in front of the other, eventually I will – you will – WE WILL – GET THROUGH!
