I’m fully convinced that GOD’S WORD has the power to completely change and transform our lives!
That’s one reason I read it every day! Not because I’m “spiritual,” but because I’m DESPERATE. I need God. In fact, I’m desperate for Him. I long to become the man He had in mind when He created me. So, I read the Bible daily believing the truth of Isaiah 55:11, that God’s Word will “not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
This year, I want to INVITE YOU to READ THE BIBLE WITH ME! Let’s read it TOGETHER?
How?
This year I’m using the “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD One-Year Bible Reading Plan” by D.A. Carson and The Gospel Coalition. It’s an updated version of the M’Cheyne Bible Reading Plan that I’ve used several times in the past. Each day features two passages from the OT, one passage from the NT and one passage from either Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you’ll read thru the entire Bible once and the NT and Psalms twice! Wow!
Why READ THE BIBLE TOGETHER?
Because READING IN COMMUNITY can be powerful in terms of helping you stay ENGAGED in your COMMITMENT to read the Bible daily. You can also gain insights from what other’s in the group are learning and experiencing as they read and comment.
